Paco Rabanne
“Disc-O-banne”
Spanish designer Paco Rabanne,  born in the Basque Country is known as a revolutionary figure and visionary in the fashion world.

Before he dominated the fashion industry, amongst others like Andrè Courrèges and Pierre Cardin, with fresh futuristic concepts. The self described accesorieste was once a jeweler.

He spent his early days learning the art of jewels witch was the first inspiration for his first collection of dresses in 1966. This collection featured garments made out of metal/plastic pieces  linked with a metal threat, often described as body jewels

Fashion Critics and Journalists  were amazed by Paco’s  “fearless” and “futuristic” creations. His designs were considered a representation of what a  “ Galactic/Space Princess” would wear.
Soon actresses Jane Fonda, Audrey Hepburn and singer Françoise Hardy were spotted wearing Rabanne’s garments in movies and concerts.
